The Online Store Returns Policy & Process
We hope you love your purchase, but if for any reason you are not satisfied, we’re here to help. Our policies are designed to uphold the care and craftsmanship that go into every Abayas Boutique piece, while ensuring a transparent and fair process for eligible returns.
Online Returns Policy – Standard Items
We accept returns on standard pieces that do not feature handwork, appliqué, lace, or customisation.
To be eligible for a return:
- You must contact us within 14 days of receiving your order and also return your items within the same 14 days time period (plus postage time).
- Items must be in original, new condition, meaning:
- Unworn and unwashed
- Free from stains, odours, or visible signs of wear
- All tags, labels, and original packaging must be intact
- Carefully folded and not excessively creased
- A proof of purchase is required
- All returns are inspected before approval
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 7–10 working days of receiving the item.
We reserve the right to decline returns that do not meet these conditions. Items that are worn, damaged, or heavily creased may be returned to you or incur a restocking fee.
Non-Returnable Items – Handwork, Custom & Couture
Due to the exclusive nature of our handcrafted designs, we do not accept returns or exchanges for pieces that include:
- Lace detailing, appliqué, or heavy embellishments
- Handwork or couture finishes
- Custom orders with selected adjustments in length, colour, or fit
- Pre-orders or made-to-measure pieces
- Scarves, hijabs, khimars, niqabs, gloves, sleeves, and caps (for hygiene reasons)
- Sale, outlet, or discontinued items
These items are carefully made to order and undergo multiple stages of scrutiny before dispatch to ensure the highest quality.
Exchanges & Faulty Items
We allow one exchange per item for eligible standard pieces.
If your item arrives faulty or damaged, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery. We recommend trying on all items as soon as you receive them to allow adequate time for any necessary return.
- Faulty items may be exchanged or issued store credit
- Exchange requests must be made within 7 days of receiving your order
- Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping — we recommend using a tracked, signed method
Please allow up to 10 working days for us to process exchanges once your item is received and approved
In-Store Purchases
Items purchased in-store are subject to a separate returns policy and must be returned to the boutique in person.
- In-store purchases are non-refundable
- If eligible, you may return within 7 days for a credit note only
- Item must be unworn and accompanied by a valid proof of purchase
- Sale items purchased in-store are final sale
